4. Design and function

The model A2G-25 air ow transmitter is based on the principle of

eective pressure measurement. In eective pressure measurement,

the static pressures in front of and behind the restriction of the inlet

nozzle are compared to each other by means of a dierential pressure

gauge. Applying the law of conservation of energy, the eective

pressure (dierential pressure of the static pressures) can be assigned

to the volume ow as follows:

In this context, k considers the specic nozzle characteristics of the

ventilator (e.g. Fläkt Woods, Rosenberg, Nicotra, Comferi, Ziehl,

EBM, Gebhard).
